This trap is “zero clearance” and can be butted up to buildings, trees or walls where animal burrows are most commonly found. It is “universal” because it opens from both ends making it a trap for all situations and the nosecone allows this trap to be placed over, or dug into, the burrows of armadillos, woodchucks or skunks forcing the animal to go up and into the trap. This is a 100% positive capture because it only targets what’s in the burrow. This high quality trap uses heavy duty 14 gauge Galfan wire which offers superior corrosion resistance over standard galvanized, effectively tripling the lifespan of the trap. Cage mesh is 1″ x 1″ and reduces to .5″ x 1″ around bait area to prevent bait theft from the outside. TIP: When using this trap to funnel raccoons from an attic, make sure there is something between the trap and the roof. A raccoon that has been captured overnight will have nothing to do except try and claw it’s way out.
